Anglophone North School District is proud to recognize four early learning and child care professionals from communities across northern New Brunswick who have received the inaugural Minister’s Excellence in Early Learning and Child Care Awards.
Presented by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, the awards honour early childhood educators, administrators, operators, and inclusion support workers who demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality early learning and child care. Recipients are recognized for excellence in leadership, inclusion and reflective practice, and for creating responsive learning environments that support the learning, development, and well-being of young children.
This year’s recipients from communities served by Anglophone North School District are:

- Tanisha Furlotte, Happy Little Faces Daycare, Bathurst
Excellence in Relationship-Based and Responsive Environments
- Shari Dawn Walsh, Chatham Day Care Center, Miramichi
Excellence in Innovation and Leadership
- Grace Dick, Kindertots Children’s Centre, Miramichi
Excellence in Reflective Practice and Professional Learning
- Julia Gail Langford, Club des Amis, Bathurst

The awards recognize the vital role early learning professionals play in supporting children’s development during some of the most important years of their lives.
